Wie der Titel des Vortrags suggeriert, liegt der Fokus jedoch eher auf \u00dcberlegungen zu den <em>screens<\/em>, die Bildproduzent*innen und ihrem Publikum Informationen zu den von ihnen erkundeten Themen liefern. Bevor sie ihren Rahmen neu setzen, m\u00fcssen Bildproduzent*innen die Darstellung dieser Themen erw\u00e4gen und sich der Bilder und Texte bewusst werden, die in den K\u00f6pfen ihres Publikums pr\u00e4sent oder aber abwesend sind. Nur \u00fcber die Reflexion der Nuancen der Informationsvermittlung (\u00fcber Bilder, Texte und Bildtexte) und -aufnahme k\u00f6nnen K\u00fcnstler*innen, Fotograf*innen und Aktivist*innen hoffen, Strategien zu entwickeln, welche Darstellung und sogar Handeln neu gestalten, hinterfragen und \u2013 idealerweise \u2013 beeinflussen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"post__paragraph is-style-typo--soehne has-spacing--m\"><br>Der Vortrag behandelt mein Interesse an der Visualit\u00e4t von Text in Beziehung zu Vorstellungen von Beweis, Abwesenheit und Verst\u00e4ndnis, wobei auf vier Beispiele meiner Arbeit zur\u00fcckgegriffen wird: <em>Guantanamo: If the Light Goes Out<\/em>, <em>Orange Screen<\/em>, <em>Negative Publicity: Artefacts of Extraordinary Rendition<\/em> und <em>My Shadow\u2019s Reflection<\/em>. Sie stammen von seiner Familie, besonders aber von Menschen auf der ganzen Welt, die Omar nie kennengelernt haben. Da jegliche Post auf gef\u00e4hrliche Stoffe gescannt, offiziell gestempelt, bearbeitet und kopiert wurde, erreichten Omar nie die Originale, sondern abstrahiertes, durch den b\u00fcrokratischen Prozess neu geschaffenes Bildmaterial. Ob, wann und in welcher Form er seine Post bekam, wurde von seinem Vernehmungsbeamten kontrolliert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"post__paragraph is-style-typo--soehne has-spacing--default\"><br>In dem Video \u203aSection 4 Part 20: One Day on a Saturday\u2039 werden die idyllischen Motive der erhaltenen Postkarten von einer Tonspur begleitet, in der sich zwei Stimmen \u00fcberlagern. Eine weibliche Stimme liest aus dem \u203aCamp Delta Standard Operating Procedures Manual\u2039 vor, einem ausf\u00fchrlichen Handbuch von Anweisungen f\u00fcr Lagerwachen, das durch die Enth\u00fcllungsplattform Wikileaks \u00f6ffentlich wurde. Eine m\u00e4nnliche Stimme liest Ausz\u00fcge aus der Zeugenaussage eines Guant\u00e1namo-Gefangenen. September 2001 von der damaligen US-Regierung unter George W. Bush propagiert wurde. Indem Clark vertraute und weit verbreitete Bilder dieses Krieges in Worten beschreibt, sie aus ihrem Kontext l\u00f6st und ihrer Visualit\u00e4t beraubt, verdeutlicht er, wie sehr diese Bilder in unser Ged\u00e4chtnis eingebrannt sind und unser Verst\u00e4ndnis dieses Konfliktes gepr\u00e4gt haben. Die Farbe Orange wurde Teil dieser Ikonografie, als 2002 Medienbilder der ersten, in orangefarbene Overalls gekleideten Gefangenen in Guant\u00e1namo Bay auftauchten. Seit 2014 wurde diese Bildsprache wiederum in ISIS-Propagandafilmen zitiert, in welchen die Gefangenen ebenfalls orangefarbene Kleidung trugen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"post__paragraph
