Sie lassen die Gr\u00e4uel vielmehr im Nichtgezeigten, in dem Dazwischen, in der Imagination der Betrachtenden entstehen. Eine grunds\u00e4tzliche Frage von Kriegsfotografie wird hier ber\u00fchrt: Wie viel Leid darf oder gar muss sie zeigen, um agitieren zu k\u00f6nnen. Der Fotograf, geboren 1980 in Sarajevo, zeigt diese Aufnahmen auch in Ausstellungen und bewegt sich so zwischen Gebrauchsfotografie und dem Kontext Kunst. Ihr \u00e4sthetischer Gehalt vermindert gleichwohl nicht ihre Wirkungsmacht. In ihrer verdichteten und zur\u00fcckgenommenen Darstellung kann sich der Appell dieser Fotografien, die sich nicht zuletzt der Prinzipien des Seriellen bedienen, auf verschiedensten Ebenen umso eindringlicher entfalten. Gafi\u0107 hat auch in anderen Konflikt- und Kriegsgebieten wie Pal\u00e4stina, Kurdistan, Ruanda oder Afghanistan fotografiert. Er richtet seinen Blick dabei stets auf die Folgen dieser Konflikte. Seine Erkenntnis: Es geht immer um Besitz, alle Kriege gleichen sich.
