Teaching area: History of photography

Malte Radtki is a photo historian and lecturer. He studied the theory and history of photography at Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen (MA) and photojournalism and documentary photography in Hannover (BA). His research focuses on everyday and popular uses of photographic images such as albums, picture postcards and magic lantern projections in German and global contexts. As part of the research project [IMAGE MATTERS] at Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, he examined current developments at the intersection of artistic and journalistic photography.
