Jannis Schubert

Jannis Schubert (born 1996) has been studying ‘Visual Journalism and Documentary Photography’ at Hochschule Hannover since 2022.

The trained bookseller and photographer is based in Hannover and Mannheim. His studies give him the opportunity to immerse himself deeply in other people’s worlds, which for him requires a trusting and intense relationship with the people he portrays.
His focus is on quiet, powerful narratives that can open up new perspectives on social issues for viewers.

In summer 2024 he photographed for GO magazine of the Reportageschule Reutlingen. Outside the university, he volunteers with the Fotobus Society.
