Jonathan Bar-Am

Jonathan Bar-Am was born in Tel Aviv in 2001. After his Abitur, he spent two years cycling through Europe and Asia. Since 2023 he has been studying Visual Journalism and Documentary Photography in Hannover.
His photo and video work deals mainly with social issues. Shaped by the ambivalences of his German-Israeli identity, he believes it is important to hold complexity and nuance. He has photographed the AfD in Saxony, for example, including for SPIEGEL magazine.
