Miriam Schwab develops the themes of her long-term photographic projects from her own experiences, which grow out of an engagement with the human psyche.

By allowing associations and a certain ambiguity, she aims to overcome the separation between the person telling the story and the person looking at it.

In this way she uses photography as a medium of mediation.
