Anjou Vartmann

Anjou Vartmann was born in Beelen in 1999. Experimenting with different forms of artistic expression led her to photography. She then pursued her curiosity further by training as an advertising photographer under Dirk Wehmeyer.

This is how she came across the Visual Journalism and Documentary Photography programme at Hochschule Hannover, where she began her studies in 2022. In her work, Anjou Vartmann is especially drawn to subjects that otherwise receive little or no attention.
