Jonas Dengler

Jonas Dengler was born in Darmstadt, Hesse, in 1990. He took his first steps in visual storytelling in the film industry, aiming to become a cinematographer. After five years of working on sets across Germany, he discovered journalistic and documentary photography; the Lumix Festival was a decisive experience. Drawn by the idea of working very closely with his protagonists without a large team, he has been studying photojournalism and documentary photography – now Visual Journalism – since 2018.
