Bastian Betz, born in 1991, grew up near Frankfurt am Main. Having been interested in art and photography since childhood, he studied communication design at the European School of Design in Frankfurt after his Abitur, civilian service and a year abroad. He then worked as an art director at advertising agencies in Frankfurt and Hamburg, where he was part of the team responsible for the creative concept and design of advertising campaigns for Lufthansa, Globetrotter, Aldi and many others. In 2022 he left advertising to take a new path in life. Since then he has been studying Visual Journalism at Hochschule Hannover, to devote himself fully to photography and to more socially relevant topics.
