Felix Posner, born in 1993 in Stendal (Saxony-Anhalt), discovered his passion for photography early on, as his mother worked as a photo lab technician.
After two years as an assistant in drama theatre, he decided to study theatre studies and philosophy at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität in Erlangen. During this time he broadened his skills in theatre, but soon realised that his true passion lay in photography. So he moved to Hamburg and worked at the photo lab ‘platinum’ under printer Oliver Rolf, where he specialised in analogue black-and-white printing and film processing.
In 2020 Felix Posner began studying Visual Journalism and Documentary Photography at Hochschule Hannover. His work deals with topics such as physical and social self-empowerment, gender identities and inclusive theatre. Through individual stories, he tries to make broader social connections visible. Felix Posner lives and works in Hamburg.
