Teaching areas: AI in photojournalism
Tim Wagner studied Visual Journalism and Documentary Photography at Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts. As a student, he spent several weeks documenting the clearing of the Dannenröder Forest. In his 2024 bachelor’s thesis he explored AI-generated images and the relationship between artificial intelligence and photojournalism.
In May 2025, together with Florian Müller, he gave a workshop at the university’s Future Lab – AI Lab on where prompt-generated images and photography compete with each other.
