Jana Junker
Jana Junker was born in the Ruhr in 1979. Today she lives with her three children in Lüneburg, close to where she grew up. Inspired by her father and by travelling all over the world, she more or less grew up with a camera in her hand. Alongside painting, photography remains her great passion. After a voluntary social year, she first trained as a nursery teacher and then worked in family and youth services. But documentary photography, and the dream of making it her career, never let her go. Having found in photography a creative way to bring sensitive, unfamiliar or hidden subjects closer to other people means a great deal to her. She has been studying Visual Journalism and Documentary Photography since 2023.
